This is a carnival glass compote made by Fenton in the Peacock and Urn pattern. The base glass is clear while the top is in a iridescent marigold colour. The piece is authentic and old as the clear glass glows green under an ultraviolet lamp and is made with a three part mould. It would date to circa 1915. This piece measures 5 1/8 in height to the top of its highest ruffle with a diameter of about 6-6 1/4. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
